Letter to the Board

Room 22
Muritai Road
Eastbourne

Dear Board of Trustees and Mr Bird,

I am writing to you to request new desks for Room 22.

Firstly our desks are currently damaged, graffitied and unstable. We need better working conditions. Some of our desks have holes in them, if you were a parent how would you feel walking into a classroom where the desks are scratched, damaged and stapled?

Secondly, when we go to gather our stationary everybody swamps to the back of the classroom at the same time. It is distracting and wastes valuable learning time. A flip top desk would remove the problem altogether

Thirdly, in the Senior School we look after our environment and our belongings. The desks we have now do not mirror this. Our desks are inadequate. We have four different types of furniture in our classroom.

In conclusion we need new desks because our desks are scratched, gratified and carved into. It causes congestion because everybody trays to get their stuff all at once. Having our tote trays at the back of the classroom just causes congestion, in the Senior School we look after our environment and our belongings this is why we need new desks please take us seriously.

Yours sincerely,

Jacob Waterworth
